The current employment landscape is shifting and we believe that worker ownership is the future of work. Workers are waking up to the structural inequity inherent in business today and demanding better treatment, fairer pay, and a seat at the table. Obran Employment Services is the cooperative’s group employment platform servicing the business’s needs for recruitment and retention of new members while leveraging that expertise to build robust networks of talent to service external clients.
Temporary Staffing
Temporary staffing has long been a center for exploitation and extractive practices rooted in systemic oppression. Staffing operations also exist in every industry and provide a low cost entry point or “beachhead” to learn first hand the ins and outs of a particular industry.
We view temporary staffing as a strategic point of entry for our growth and exploration into a particular industry and geography. Our first business Core Staffing predominately served returning citizens and other “hard to employ” people in food service and construction jobs . We view staffing as an opportunity to learn alongside our clients how to be best in class by putting “boots on the ground”.
Talent Network
We believe that talent is evenly distributed however opportunity is not. Our talent network businesses build on this idea to create specialized communities of worker-owners who are stronger together. This aggregation allows us to leverage economies of scale to access better member benefits and better opportunities. And in an era of ever-changing workplaces culture remote and flexible work is now the norm we believe that leveraging the right technology enables greater levels of interaction and innovation.

Tribeworks is a worker-owned and artist-run cooperative committed to building the solidarity economy through support of creative workers. With payments, community, and employment enablement, our goal is to help artists and their organizations stay focused on their craft.
We combine the freedom of creative, artist-driven work with the security of W2 employment in our innovative approach to cooperative employment. Tribeworks is designed independent creative workers and the organizations that rely on them and their talents.
