Lead with Purpose

Become a Social CEO

Are you a business leader looking to apply your expertise toward creating a more just economy? Obran is seeking accomplished and mission-aligned individuals to lead small businesses toward success as worker-cooperatives.

Backed by resources and support from Obran Cooperative, you’ll lead a small business, grow operations, and build value for worker-owners and their communities. Join the movement to build a new, more equitable future of business.

We’re in a moment of change

Corporations continue to grow and consolidate wealth as boomer-owners leave the workforce, threatening socioeconomic progress on labor exploitation and wage inequality.

Obran’s cooperative conglomerate approach is built on this pivotal moment - reallocating ownership, value and profits equitably to the workers who are responsible for generating them.

But, that kind of work takes skills and expertise. Join the movement and support worker-owned economies.

Capable leaders on a mission

Leverage your skills to support solidarity. If you’re a seasoned, empathetic leader with a focus on growth and social equity, we want to hear your story.

We recognize that people are born into familial, socioeconomic, and biological situations outside of their control, and we embrace the way these factors shape them. We value the effect that such diversity has on innovation and growth and the perspective it brings. We encourage people from different ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, neurodiversities, physical abilities, and career histories to apply.

Impact is the goal

Enable yourself

In today’s economy, doing business often means playing by conventional, exploitative rules. By becoming a Social CEO, you’ll build on your leadership capabilities and professional skills. Step into the opportunity to have a lasting impact on people’s lives with a trusted network at your back.

Enable the mission

As a Social CEO, you’ll guide a business with intention, developing and executing your strategy to grow the organization in partnership with its worker-owners and delivering profits to those responsible for them in an equitable and just way. Your success means they’ll continue to serve their customers and communities well into the future.
